Terms of Use
Last updated 11 August 2026 · applies to InspectLab for iPhone and iPad
By downloading or using InspectLab (“the app”) you agree to these terms. The app is provided by DengBingbing (“we”, “us”). If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not redistribute, resell, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the app's source code, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
What the app is for
InspectLab is a web browser with developer inspection features. It shows you the structure, styles, console output, network activity and stored data of the web pages you choose to load.
Your responsibility for what you inspect
Inspection tools show you what a page and its server are doing. You are responsible for using the app only on websites and services you are authorised to test, and in compliance with those sites' terms and with applicable law. Do not use the app to access systems you do not have permission to access.
The app can display credentials that appear in a page — session cookies, authorization headers, values typed into forms. Keeping that information secure once it is on your screen, and being careful about what you copy, export or share, is your responsibility.
Editing is local and temporary
Changes you make with the app — editing CSS, changing stored values, deleting cookies — affect only the copy of the page loaded on your device and the data stored on your device. They do not modify anyone's website or server. Reloading generally discards them.
Documented limitations
iOS restricts what an app can observe inside a web view, so the app cannot capture everything a desktop browser's developer tools can. Those limits are described on the home page and inside the app. In particular the app does not offer JavaScript breakpoints, cannot read headers or bodies for resource loads such as images and stylesheets, and cannot inspect cross-origin iframes. Please do not rely on the app as a complete record of a page's network activity.
Purchases and subscriptions
The app is free to download and free to use for inspection. InspectLab Pro is an optional paid upgrade that unlocks live CSS editing, editing cookies and web storage, copying requests and source out of the app, and higher console, request and tab limits. It is sold in three forms:
- Monthly — an auto-renewable subscription billed every month.
- Yearly — an auto-renewable subscription billed every twelve months.
- Lifetime — a single purchase that does not renew.
Prices are set per country by the App Store. The price you will be charged is shown to you by Apple before you confirm, in your own currency. Any figure quoted on this website is a United States price for illustration and may differ from yours.
Auto-renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period.
Free trial. Where a free trial is offered, eligibility is determined by Apple from your purchase history and is shown to you before you confirm. If you buy a subscription during a trial, any unused part of the trial is forfeited. Cancel at least 24 hours before a trial ends to avoid being charged.
Cancelling. Manage or cancel a subscription in Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. We cannot cancel a subscription for you — only Apple can, because only Apple holds the billing relationship. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds. All purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no ability to issue a refund, though we are happy to help you decide whether to ask for one.
What “lifetime” means. A one-time purchase of the features listed above, for this app, on your Apple Account, with no time limit and nothing to cancel. It is not a promise about features that do not exist yet: if a substantially new capability is ever added and sold separately, we will say so plainly rather than reinterpret this sentence. Restoring it on a new device is done with Restore Purchases in the app's Settings.
Changes to features and prices. We may change what Pro includes as the app develops. We will not remove a capability you already paid for without saying so. Apple requires your explicit consent before a subscription price increase takes effect, and it will not renew at a higher price without it.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that the information it displays is complete or accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue or profits, arising out of your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app and its in-app purchases in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Updates and availability
We may update the app to add, change or remove features, and we may stop distributing it. We are not obliged to provide support or updates, though we intend to. Some features may stop working when Apple changes iOS or WebKit.
Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for the app. These terms are between you and us. Your use of the App Store is governed by Apple's own terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here affects statutory rights you have as a consumer in your country of residence.
